ABOUT YPFPPP

The Global Youth Leaders’ Summit (GYLS), in collaboration with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP), is excited to launch Singapore’s inaugural Youth Public-Foreign Policy Pipeline Programme!

Programmes:

This initiative goes beyond traditional Model UN discussions, connecting youth with political office holders and fostering a deep understanding of the domestic foundations that shape foreign policy. By equipping youth with the tools to explore Singapore’s policy landscape, this programme aspires to build a lasting youth pipeline for Singapore’s public and foreign policy sectors.

Foreign policy is inseparable from domestic considerations, and this programme provides youth with a unique opportunity to grasp the intricate relationship between Singapore’s public and foreign policies. Conducted biannually in late May and November, participants will explore a multilayered governance structure spanning from the United Nations to International Organizations and Unitary States. They’ll also delve into the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how sustainability increasingly drives public-foreign policy decisions.
