Our Theme.
Fortuna Favet Fortibus : Latin for ‘Fortune Favours the Bold’
GYLS' theme symbolises our enduring commitment to inspire youths to persevere through hardships and achieve goals previously never imagined possible.
In line with our motto, conference accessibility is a foremost priority for GYLS, as we maintain a balance between affordable conference fees and an excellent conference experience, while at the same time organising Model UN workshops in other schools and pre-tertiary institutions to impart the skills of diplomacy and negotatiation.
Our Mission.
True to our youth-centric vision, GYLS seeks to drive meaningful change in society through providing an avenue for passionate youths to speak on pertinent issues -- ultimately building a community of informed and engaged youths. In keeping to our motto, GYLS has organised youth outreach and advocacy projects targeted at local beneficiaries and non-profit organisations this year, spearheaded by our very own Advocacy and Special Projects teams. Over the course of the conference, delegates can look forward to a sprawling Advocacy Exhibition, an exhilarating Youth Panel and many more events in store!
Specifically, GYLS engages youth through simulating youth debate in its many diverse simulations of councils, aimed to engage students on current affairs!
